News just in indicates that the clear front runner in the Presidential election, Jubilee’s Uhuru Kenyatta, has now hit the 5 million votes threshold.
With 10,077,318 of the votes counted Uhuru has 5,004,406 (49.7%) while CORD Raila Odinga is a close second with 4,442,923 (44.1%)votes.
With just slightly over 60 of the 291 electoral constituencies yet to release their results, Raila needs to pull off something spectacular to take victory.
The IEBC Chairman Issack Hassan is expected to release the final results of the elections within the next few hours.
