Kenyans on Social Media can announce your funeral while you are still alive - RUTO says

Deputy President William Ruto on Tuesday asked Kenyans to avoid taking social media seriously because bloggers can announce your funeral when you are still alive.

In an interview with Citizen TV, Ruto said he  has been closely following what is happening  on social media and some things bloggers post are just baseless and as such, Kenyans should  not to take what is written there as the gospel truth.

When asked whether he was aware of the ridicule he has previously been subjected to on social media over corruption allegations, Ruto answered,

"Don't take social media seriously my friend, they can even announce your funeral when you are still alive.

Among scandals Ruto has been involved in is the Sh 17 billion Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) in Eldoret, the land grabbing case at Lang'ata Primary School in Nairobi and a case involving land on Ngong Forest.

Ruto denied all these scandals and said his political detractors have taken it upon themselves to drag his name into every scandal even when it was clear he has nothing to do with them.
