Police Praise voters for General Calmness

Dar es Salaam. Police officers at Kilakala and Kigunga polling centres in the city have praised voters for remaining calm and following procedures in the ongoing voting process.

One of police officers said voters were following polling officers and police directives and that everything was going on well.

“We are happy with this situation, voters are obeying orders and directive as required, as you can see everything is ok,” he said.

He said the two stations have many voters but all of them were in the queues and that the voting exercise was proceeding without any problem.

Everyone including youth are following procedures, they are calm and relaxed, their motorcycles are well parked aside and owners are in the queue waiting for their turn to vote,” he said.

Mr Khamis Suleiman, a resident of Kilakala ward said everyone wish to participate in the exercise without causing chaos.

We want to vote peacefully, we have decided to remain calm so that we can exercise our constitutional right of electing our leaders,” he said.
