MTV Base hawapumui sababu mashabiki wa Alikiba wapo shingoni mwao.
Hilo limekuja baada ya tawi lake la Afrika Mashariki, MTV Base East kuanzisha shindano dogo kwenye Twitter (Face Off Tanzania) wakiwataka mashabiki kumtaja msanii aliyefanya vizuri Tanzania mwaka 2015 na kuwaweka Alikiba, Diamond, Vanessa Mdee na Ommy Dimpoz.
Watu zaidi ya 1500 walipiga kura na Alikiba alishinda mtanange huo
Matokeo hayo yaligeuka kama risasi iliyomrudia mpigaji kwa MTV Base, baada ya mashabiki wa Alikiba kuanzisha kampeni ya kukitaka kituo hicho kicheze nyimbo zake.
Kituo hicho kinadaiwa kuziweka kapuni video zake bila sababu za msingi. Alikiba mwenyewe aliwahi kulalamika kuwa hiyo ni sehemu ya mchezo anaofanyiwa nyuma ya pazia.
