Supporters are still wondering who will be the next Kaizer Chiefs coach. Let’s have a good look at Jose Peseiro’s experience.
It’s been a long story, when will Kaizer Chiefs find their next coach? Recent reports by Soccer Laduma have revealed Jose Peseiro as a prime candidate.
KAIZER CHIEFS TARGET JOSE PESEIRO TARGET AS NEXT COACH?
The topic has been dominant and with good reason. Amakhosi, the most-followed club in Sub-Saharan Africa, have not won a trophy in over nine years.
The club is currently between coaches after Molefi Ntseki, an unexpected appointment last June, departed in under four months. Another surprise call was made when Cavin Johnson was named Chiefs’ interim coach in October 2023.
According to new reports, Amakhosi have a list of targets. One of them is the vastly experienced Portuguese Jose Peseiro. It is believed that Chiefs have contacted the coach’s agent for a meeting.
“The Siya Crew has learnt that Kaizer Chiefs are considering well-travelled Jose Peseiro as a possible solution to take over the club’s head coaching role,” Soccer Laduma said, as shared by @SirTshemedi via X.
“Well-placed sources have informed the crew that Chiefs management have set up a meeting with the African Cup of Nations silver medalist’s agent with the possible view of roping him in at the end of the 2023/24 season,” the report added.
HOW’S PESEIRO EXPERIENCE?
Needless to say, experience is a key variable for any job, especially the most stressful jobs in African sports.
So, Peseiro?
